All of the youth sports organizations
and Jackson PD received the following email from Freehold Township today. We ask that you all be extra vigilante and aware while at the Holbrook, Bartley and Justice complexes.
Please keep your children close to you and as safe as possible.
Coaches, please do NOT let your players out of your sight until they are with their parents.
If you see anything suspicious, please tell a Board Member.
If a car is involved, try to get a plate number.

The alert reads:
I just wanted everyone to be aware that at approx 12:45 pm yesterday, we had an attempted pedophile incident occur at the fields. I called freehold twp police and an official report was submitted. An older gentleman approached 3 young children and attempted a possible abduction by bribing them with money & candy. Luckily the kids were smart & told their father. If you happen to be at the fields, keep an eye out. The kids gave a very detailed description of the guy: Caucasian older gentleman (age in 50's) white shirt, green pants, white hair which was slicked back, blue baseball cap. (He took off his cap and that's when the kids noticed the hair). This happened when kids were coming from snack bar going to field 11. After the kids told this guy no, he got into a green car parked along side field 11. The car is an older type model.
The incident occured at Michael J Tigue Park yestderday.
