| Change simply for the sake of change is an abdication of leadership.
Effective leaders change things when they are not achieving their goals to make it to Sunday. Or when they see a way to get there more quickly, effectively, and efficiently.
This means that before suggesting changes, a team rep should take the time to see what’s working and what’s not, to assess changes in the competitive landscape, to assess changes in the league and to review other factors that would indicate that a change is necessary.
Don't fix what is not broken. The double knockout is really the only way to go.

| My team has not played on Sunday in years, but I strongly believe that a DK (double knockout) is the best and only way for a fair playoff structure.

| Totally agree that the Double Knockout format has been a huge success! Have only one issue with the format and that is having to beat the undefeated team twice in a final (Recent bias clearly a factor).
I'm not sure what the solution can be as I understand that the undefeated team should be allowed the same opportunity to lose as everyone has been given.... BUT it makes for a real long day for that team that gets knocked to the bottom and has to play 5,6 games on Sunday as we did.
I guess the answer is... Don't lose!

| No reason all those games had to happen in one day, back-back-back like that Steaner. Not sure why the Masters and Conny wrap up on Saturday, seems to me all the games could be spread out a little better... !

| It permits each team the identical chance to win. I like the fact that the regular season governs the seeds. Playing 25 games should amount to something.

| I like the idea of a season-ending double knockout tournament. i have played in other leagues with round robin, what a waste of time.

| If you constantly change your to-do list, route to work, lane on the highway, or line at the supermarket, you probably know that at some point you're just spinning your wheels. Have an end goal in mind whenever you make a change to at ensure progress. So the playoff structure has been exceptional for three or four years now. No changes are required.

The teams that lose are not in favor, really? If you lose the first two in round robin you are also done. So play a useless game three for what? Watching grass grow would be more exciting.

| The primary disadvantage to a round robin tournament is the time needed to complete it. As stated before by others, some game are totally irrelevant because teams already in or out after a few games. Another con is that there is a high probability that many teams will end up in tied points after round robin. This situation can be handled with a tie-break game or so that the game between those teams that are tied will make the difference. However, also in this latter case there is a possibility that tiebreaks are needed because three or more teams can end up in the same points. A run or two my make the difference. How about a coin flip, ridiculous. The double knockout is straight forward, win and stay, lose and you are out. No luck required.

| I'd agree, I prefer a Double Knock over Pool Play as a Playoff format.
Perhaps a tweak is due to mirror the more recent version of a standard Baseball Double Knocout Bracket. Brackets have evolved and we have not. Championship games are now one game showdowns and the long succession of game after game without leaving the diamond like Tar last year has also been addressed in the new formats.
I'd ask the USPL leadership to check out the 2016 Big 10 Championship Bracket format as well as the 2016 NAIA Baseball Championship Bracket. I believe either version would be an upgrade.

| The playoff plan was a discussion/consideration. the results were unanimous with a suggestion of a trivial tweak for the Sunday schedule. So we should not debate it any more.
The HR rule never garnered such prodigious backing, hence the ongoing chatter.
