| The 8U Mad Dawgs are holding tryouts on Thursday, July 14 and Saturday, July 16.
We practice at the Town & Country Optimist sports complex in Northwest Austin, and are planning to play in 5-6 local / regional tournaments this fall.

About the Mad Dawgs:
Our goal is to provide a positive environment for our kids to develop baseball fundamentals, learn the game, and have fun. We are committed to developing our young players at multiple positions, in the infield & outfield. We stress discipline, mental and physical preparation, sportsmanship and teamwork. We expect a very high level of play from our kids, but not at the expense of fun & love for the game. Most importantly, we are looking for great families who support our philosophy, and will contribute to our positive environment – on the field and in the stands.
In the spring, the 7U Mad Dawgs were very competitive at both the 7U and 8U levels, winning the end-of-season regional 7U tournament, and competing in the 7U AAA USSSA World Series in Sulphur, Louisiana. We look forward to building upon this success in the fall.
