| Most long balls end up as strikes because of this stupid plus 2 rule, so for my money a consistent hitter is the way to go.

| For my money, a constant hitter beats the dingers for sure. We rarely hit ding dongs in the Masters anyway. Milliken is a real shot. Even the girls hit it out of Crosby.

| Harry, Birkey obviously plays a more mature game with the line drives - and understands the +2 rule.
SPN Rules (Rule 1 Sec.2) indicates that the WOMEN’s diamond has a distance of 225 foot fences (substitute Crosby Park) for RF,CF,LF.

Timbuktu is a city in the West African nation of Mali, founded in the 12th century. It was inaccessible on many European expeditions until 1830.
Just like Timbuktu some people don't know the dimensions of Crosby.

| Lots of teams have good outfielders but only a few have great outfielders, guys that come in and steal a hit, climbs the French at Milliken to take away a homer. How about the ones with the laser arms.

They give up 17 runs per game = bad OF Dee
They can't throw anyone out at the plate = 9 loses
As someone stated they only beat the inferior teams.

I guess you've been to every game to know they can't throw anyone out at the plate right?( Also extra credit here...maybe they prioritize keeping the batter from advancing to second base to try to limit the damage and give up the run because they absolutely rake at the plate.)
And yes because they beat up on the not so good teams= they don't have a good outfielder.
But hey, I guess we all see it different.

| I'm sorry where did I say they were the team to beat? Just curious how you were able to gather that? I was responding to the person who didn't understand why it was possible for Starks to have a good outfielder because they give up 17 runs a game and to " his knowledge" haven't thrown anyone out at the plate. | They played really well, Starks did not play so well. Anybody can beat anybody on any certain night if you don't come ready to play. You guys just sit on this forum and bash teams for no reason. My apologizes for standing up for Starks. This isn't high school anymore.... I've never seen so many guys who need their egos pumped up on a slo pitch forum. But hey I guess some guys need to compensate....

First, check yourself. Seriously—make sure you're not the one being irrational here, and you're not the one using faulty information to prove your point. As with any debate or argument, it's easy for both people to get hot under the collar and pretend that they're the one capable of separating fact from fiction, while the other person is now attacking personally with childhood and compensate comments. Make sure you're not the problem first, and make sure that your positions are well thought out, researched, and backed up, and that you're approaching the discussion calmly. When presented with an opposing view, take a little time to research it and make sure you're not the one reacting poorly.
