| On behalf of all the gents on Cairney Homes we too would like to thank the executive and all who make this league great!. It was another fantastic weekend and season. Congrats go out to DST once again on taking the Championship back to back!!
A very tough team to beat once let alone twice!! Thanks again to everyone that makes this league run and a big thanks to my Cairney Teammates as it was another great year of fun both on and off the ball diamond. See you next year!

| Sportsmanship and class was demonstrated after the final out yesterday. Instead of jumping up and down, the Reds team turned and immediately shook the hands of their opponents. I thought this type of elegance is rarely displayed by younger folks. Good on you DST.

Lots of good baseball displayed over the weekend and even though we came up short (again), had a blast all weekend.

| On Friday when I got up I said out loud. “It's tournament time!!” what story lines will unfold: **Can DST run the table? Four more wins to a perfect season? ••Can the Arms Team go on a magical tournament run like they did a few year ago to win the championship? **For Starks and Pool Boys, both expansion teams, can they do it this on Sunday? How will they fare in the post-season? **Cariney, a veteran-laden squad who lost the final a year ago, are they motivated to win that last game? **Houghton, a team that, in the past, has lollygagged through the regular season only to turn it up a notch in the playoffs. This year, Harding & Duchess. Do they have four more wins in them? **Kelsey’s, so many close losses, can they put it all together in one weekend and shock everybody? Well I should have stopped at my first thought.

| Change simply for the sake of change is an abdication of leadership.
Effective leaders change things when they are not achieving their goals to make it to Sunday. Or when they see a way to get there more quickly, effectively, and efficiently.
This means that before suggesting changes, a team rep should take the time to see what’s working and what’s not, to assess changes in the competitive landscape, to assess changes in the league and to review other factors that would indicate that a change is necessary.
Don't fix what is not broken. The double knockout is really the only way to go. It was a great weekend of ball.

| Nothing needs to change with the playoff format. Every team has a chance. Six or seven years and we have played deep into Sunday and out on Saturday. Either way it is fine.
