FOR ALL THOSE WHO MISSED OUT YESTERDAY, LETS REFLECT ON SOME IMPORTANT STUFF AS I CAME LATE.

2 DIVISIONS, A AND B

YOU PLAY YOUR OWN DIVISION TWICE AND OTHER DIVISION ONCE.

HOW WILL THE PLAYOFFS WORK? DO 12 TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. ALL FROM DIVISION A AND 3 FROM DIVISION B?

AND THEN WE CONTINUE WITH LAST YEARS FORMAT WHERE 1-4 GET A BYE AND 5 WILL PLAY 12?

This allow the better teams to play each other twice....love it.

To clarify the above question:

Division A (9 teams) are automatically in the championship bracket regardless of record.

Division B (9 teams) will be granted the final 3 spots to make 12 teams on the championship side (top 3 records at season end).

There will then be a relegation (similar to English Premiership) where the bottom 2 teams from division A will move down for the following year and the top 2 from B move up. We are working on a scenario to cover the potential relegation of a the playoff champion.

The remaining 6 teams will be on the consolation side as per usual.

The format (as it stands) is still a double knockout - with the top 4 teams getting a 'bye'. The reason for this is simply due to bracketology. The only way to remove the bye would be by expanding the championship side to 14 teams or by reducing to 8, of which neither is favourable.

There has been discussion surrounding moving back to a round robin - having said that at this time, the executive will review all options and ensure the decision reached is communicated to teams before the season begins.

Hope that helps!

To speed up the games, it's really on us.

-No need for as many warm up throws in the INF / pitches before each inning
-Actually run/jog to your position at the start of each inning
-Be ready in the on deck circle

These three things if done correctly will help speed things up

AL - If you would like to provide your email or phone number I will be happy to connect with you

You have to realize that some people only hit 2 or 3 per year. We would like the honour of running the bases.

When you're in the batter's box physically, be there mentally. Be where you need to be, when you need to be there!! Hit the ball over the fence and then RUN the bases.

Does this make sense? Game at Crosby. The other team is plus 2 (stupid rule). To avoid middle shots, and considering we had 3 good OF's out there (yes I was playing catcher ), we decided to move to a 5-man IF. Good move or not?
