Entry #: 4228981
| 1 - Monstars (18 Wins) 2 - Smash Bros (17 W) 3 - Expendables (11 W) 4 - Rebels (10 W) 5 - Quiet Storm (9 W) 6 - J&S Ninjas (8 W) 7 - Secrets (8 W) 8 - Moonlight (6 W) 9 - Mallingers (1 W)
Based on having 9 teams, the 8/9 seeds were to play and the winner advancing to play the top seed (#1).
The reason I had waited this late to post bracket match-ups, was because I was waiting to hear back from Mallingers. It was decided that they did not have enough commitment and therefore dropped from the tournament.
That said, Mallingers' games are still listed on the bracket in what was their 8/9 game, and also in their Loser's Bracket game. Since Moonlight was to play Mallingers at 8am, Moonlight wins by default and as the bracket goes, the loser of Smash Bros / Secrets game gets an automatic win since that spot was to play Mallingers in the Loser's Bracket. I will put an image of the bracket on this site and have a large bracket hanging at the tournament pavilon. . .
8:00 am game times (2) Smash Bros vs (7) Secrets - Front Field (3) Expendables vs J&S Ninjas - Back Field . . .
9:00 am games (1) Monstars vs (8) Moonlight - Front Field (4) Rebels vs (5) Quite Storm - Back Field . . As the league vote that happened years ago (which could always be re-voted upon) the lower seeds get the early games, thus at the expense of the higher seeds. It was voted this way because the higher seeds earned their position to play a lesser record team. I can explain further at the tournament if you would like to talk about it.
p.s. and to avoid confusion, to what you read and seeing the game times, Moonlight was scheduled to play at 8am, until Mallingers dropped, so technically it's Moonlight's "2nd" game of the tournament and that's why they are showing scheduled at 9am. With 9 teams, Monstars was the only team to earn a "BYE" and played the winner of the 8 seed / 9 seed game. Otherwise, Monstars would have played at 10 and Expendable/Ninjas would have been 9.
