The Southwest Elite baseball program is excited to announce its new partnership and affiliation with the EvoShield Canes Baseball Club. Effective November 27th 2017 the former Southwest Elite baseball club will now be under the nationally recognized umbrella of one of the most successful and decorated programs in the country. Along with other regional programs in the Northeast, Midwest, Florida, North Carolina, North and South Atlantic, we are honored to continue our already very successful program as EvoShield Canes Southwest.

Working diligently with the Canes central location and management, the ownership of the Southwest Elite Baseball Club felt on top of its already proven track record the Central and South Texas areas were ready to take a vital step forward in the advancement of select/showcase baseball and put the region on the national stage. Other areas of the state of Texas have thrived on the biggest of platforms and it was the belief of Southwest Elite and the Canes that Central and South Texas had the talent to do the same!

The focus, the mission of Canes Southwest moving forward at the youth level is right in line with what foundation the Southwest Elite program has implemented in it’s short 15 months of existence. Player development is a term used loosely at the select level, vaguely illustrating areas of improvement in an individual player’s tools and skill set. “Team Development” however at the youth ages is something the select game has lacked for some time. A player, an individual who understands that his commitment to his own personal development and growth ultimately impacts the betterment of the team will succeed more often not only in baseball but throughout the course of his life. Team first concepts do big things for everyone the game is about the team.

Southwest Elite in it’s 15 months of existence has seen 16 championships, multiple runner up finishes, several all-tournament and tournament MVP accolades, 35 collegiate signees/commitments, and most importantly developed some of the best relationships between coaches and players either party could ask for.

Canes Southwest has one of the nicest baseball only indoor facilities in Central Texas. Located in Leander, the facility consist of (4) 70ft cages, indoor pitching mounds, Cross Symmetry training area, full A/C, video analysis, surround sound, and TV to take in some baseball games. Canes Southwest is also underway completing its new, fully turfed outdoor training facility set to open for spring practices in 2018. The outdoor training facility will be fully functioning for all youth players with the infield extending for high school level of practice. Currently massive renovations are going into the Canes Southwest outdoor facility to make it one of the most attractive outdoor/turf practice facilities in the area.

We encourage you to visit www.canesbaseball.net to view what the EvoShield Canes baseball club is all about!

The EvoShield Canes Southwest would like to also announce its acquisition of the Aces Baseball Academy located in Leander, TX effective as of November 21st 2017. This merger’s intentions are to create more consistency in the implementation of the Canes Southwest ideology throughout the northern region of the Austin area and ultimately other regions of Central and South Texas. Aces Owner/Founder Rick Guerra has spent several years in youth baseball and found EvoShield Canes Southwest to be the right fit for not only Aces youth players to advance in their select baseball development, but envisioned a more long term strategy that would provide a home for the players of Aces Baseball Academy throughout their high school/college prep years.

Lastly, the Canes Southwest will be bringing selected coaches from the Aces Baseball Academy program over to utilize their knowledge of the game and continue with their coaching tenure.

The former Southwest Elite and Aces Baseball Academy are very excited to move forward as part of one of the most successful select/high school showcase programs in the country. Very few programs come to mind when overviewing baseball clubs with a legitimate national presence We are honored to move forward with the Canes program and look forward to what the future holds.
