| The following message is issued by the North Dufferin Baseball League Executive upon learning of the death of Tom Anderson:
"It is with profound sadness the Executive of the North Dufferin Baseball League learned of the death of Tom Anderson of Lisle who died this afternoon.
"Tom played with the Lisle Baseball Club beginning in 1970 and ending in 1998. As a player and coach throughout the years, Tom played an outstanding centrefield and was a consistent batter. He was named the league's most sportsmanlike player four times and was a perennial all-star player at the annual game.
"Tom split his early playing career with Lisle in the NDBL and Alliston and Creemore in the South Simcoe Baseball League. He later joined the Dufferin Simcoe Rockers oldtimers team where he truly enjoyed his time playing the game he loved with friends.
"Tom was a staunch supporter of the league, joining the executive as vice president in 1979, serving his three-year term drafting layouts of ball parks, designing logos and designs for the league and teams, and writing the league history book. Tom also helped organize the President's Reunion in 2009 and personally edited most of the articles and content for the league website for his sons.
"The greatest accomplishment and something he was truly proud of was writing the history book entitled Memories: A History of the North Dufferin Baseball League. While researching for the book he appreciated meeting former players and hearing their stories, many of which ended up in the book.
"For his contribution to baseball he was awarded the league's President’s Award in 2008.
"The league extends sincere condolences to his wife Jane, his sons David and Scott, his daughter Heather (Shane) Walker, and to those who have lost a true friend."
Funeral details will be released when finalized.

| Funeral Arrangements for Tom Anderson
(Nov. 27, 1956- Dec. 8, 2018)
Visitation will take place at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston, Ont. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 From 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11 a.m.
Reception to follow.
If desired, donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Royal Victoria Health Centre - Kidney Clinic
