A. New for 2019-20: District contests are not required. It is up to each school to determine their own schedule. A vote cannot take place to require district contests to be played.
B. District tournament seeding will be determined by MaxPreps rankings. This information will be available on the FHSAA website. This is the only method to determine seeding. The district cannot vote to seed the tournament using a different method.
C. All schools will be required to verify their schedules and scores on MaxPreps at least once during the season.
1. Week 21 of the regular season (TENTATIVE)
2. Two weeks prior to the district tournament
D. Seeding for the district tournament will be released on Monday, January 13. All regular season games played by Saturday, January 11, 2020 will count towards the district tournament seeding.
E. All teams must participate in the district tournament.
F. The higher seed in each game in the district tournament must enter the contest into MaxPreps.
G. The winning school of each district tournament contest must enter the score of the contest into MaxPreps immediately following the contest.
H. Seeding for the regional tournament will be released on Sunday, February 2 and will include the last week of the season and the district tournament matches.
I. The district, regional and state tournament are fixed brackets.
J. The higher seed will always be considered the home team for every round of the state series.
K. For each regional round, the higher seed will be the host.
L. For the state semifinals, the higher seed by MaxPreps rankings will be the host.
