| Hi Steve,
Teams sports are specifically prohibited by the state, county and town orders. I went to have a catch at Jupiter Community Park with two other guys and was told to leave. It wasn't the distancing that was the issue but the fact that we were using one ball. I am guessing the next phase will allow youth sports to begin playing. I think senior teams sports will be in the last phase, whenever that happens.
Be well,
Mike

| Steve : Social Distancing n the USA is the arbitrary distance of 6 feet. The WHO suggests 1M (a little more than 3 feet). In the UK they do 2 meters and have admitted they doubled the recommended distance because they didny think people would stay 3 feet. Most of Europe is at 1.5 meters.
Recently Sal and I went to throw and were told we couldn't because we use the same ball. I pointed to the tennis courts and said "They use the same ball". The response was "Thats different" ... I then asked if we could throw a fuzzy yellow ball.
The CDCthis week changed their statement on infections from a surface. https://www.aol.com/article/news/2020/05/19/cdc-virus-does-not-spread-easily-on-contaminated-surfaces/24356961/ The viral load doesnt seem to be enough in a surface UNLESS you touch the area of the virus THEN wipe your nose, mouth or eyes.
The uodate : "The CDC now says that COVID-19 spreads from person to person contact, and then lists touching infected surfaces under a section titled, "The virus does not spread easily in other ways." The CDC adds: “This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus.”
A few days later (this same week) they again modified and said : " It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about how this virus spreads."

Its possible to be infected that way but not very likely
