Enclosed please find an invitation to a coaching clinic with Trey Hillman. We will announce this clinic to the public tomorrow but wanted you to be the first to know about it and have the chance to sign up. We will limit attendance to 60 people so please don’t delay if you are interested.

ABOUT TREY:

Trey Hillman is entering his second season as Marlins' first base coach and infield instructor it will mark his 30th year as a coach or manager in Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, Japan, and Korea...He returns to the United States after serving as manager of SK Wyverns in South Korea's KBO from 2014-18, a stint which concluded with a Korean Series victory last November... Marked his third trip to the postseason with SK Wyverns in five years at the helm (Wild Card round losses in 2015 & '17)...He is the only person to manage in Japan (Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters, 2003-07), Korea (SK Wyverns, 2014-18), and Major League Baseball (Kansas City, 2008-10)...He is the only manager ever to win both the Korean Series (2018) and Japan Series (2006)...This is his second stint on a Don Mattingly staff, as he served as bench coach for Mattingly with the Dodgers from 2011-13...Prior to joining Mattingly's staff, served as manager of the Kansas City Royals from 2008-10, compiling a 152-207 record...Managed the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters from 2003-07, guiding the club to two Japan Series appearances (2006, 2007), the 2006 Japan Series title and Konami Cup championship and three playoff appearances (2004, 2006 and 2007) ...He was named the 2006 Japan "Sportsman of the Year" by the 2006 Foreign Sportswriters of Japan...Served as the Director of Player Development with the Texas Rangers in 2002...Managed in the New York Yankees' minor league system from 1990-2001 where he compiled an 855-761 (.529) record, leading his teams to eight winning seasons and four playoff appearances... Began his managerial career at 27 years old with Short-Season A Oneonta in the New York-Penn League in 1990...Began his coaching career in 1989 with Single-A Prince William... Began his non-playing career as a scout in the Cleveland organization from 1987-1988.
