| Cheating is a deliberate violation of the league rules or other behavior that is designed to gain an unfair advantage against an opponent. These sts guys were all aware that the player in question was not eligible to play in playoffs games. The lack of sportsmanship was evident in previous years. They should be severely reprimanded in my humble opinion.

| I’ll break it down kindergarten style. If you want a whole team of rule breakers suspended like some people have wanted for the past few weeks and then next year you welcome one of the key players form the cheating scandal with open arms just because he’s willing to play for you and he has a great stick, how does that define you??

| I don’t know how Halloween can even be scary this year. To me the most frightening thing I saw this year was a player from STS that was not legal to play, scary.

of teams?
Assuming the entire team was in on it, disgraceful.
Assuming the leader and a few bud were conscious of this, they should be penalized.
We should have zero tolerance for this type of behavior.

| I wrote this before and I have chatted with a few people, they agree, so my position has not changed.
The penalty must fit the crime, I think I read that this team won two playoffs games with an illegal player on the field, which is definitely unfair to the teams they beat. My recommendation is a two-year suspension from the league for all those involved with this incredibly ignorant decision.

| I meet a gentleman last week at the wedding and we discussed baseball at length. He said he didn’t like the Astros b/c of cheating. I reminded him about the masters league and the team that cheated. He said that they pushed the limit and should be seriously penalized.

| 10 years from now, no one will remember this team for being any good. They’ll only remember the blatant use of a illegal player & how they had to cheat to win the first game. Any legitimate success in 2021 playoffs is tainted by what happened and it doesn’t change the fact that they’re cheaters.

| It's simple really. We have forgotten the instructions for how to play games in this league. We have forgotten how to connect with other players in a simple way...a enjoyable way. To honor it. | I don't disagree with penalizing the cheaters.
However, allowing select/stacked teams seems contrary to the constitution:
"About the USPL -The Unionville Slo Pitch League (USPL) was started in 1974 as a recreational men's league for players of all abilities. For residents of Unionville/Markham."

| A pitcher can appear to be cheating by swapping balls, quick pitching, raising/lowering the ceiling/floor, standing off the pitcher's plate, etc. Some are legal (though not exactly sportsmanlike), some aren't. Most of it is on the umpire to control. Using a ringer in the playoffs is definitely not controlled by the umpire and beyond sportsmanship.
