Where have they gone............

Mike Menzer was the League's top scorer ten years or so ago, then broke his ankle during a game and never saw him on the court again. An excellent player. I think he relocated to London and kept his house in Fair Haven. Good guy.

Gene Melody........Who can ever forget "The Music Man"?!! Always a mediocre talent on the floor, but where he always shined was at the draft party, where he regaled the assembled ballers with horrendous attempts at humor. It was so bad, it was always a highlight of the night.

Gene's Brother......... A cop from West Long Branch? Anyways, he only lasted half a season, but he did make an impact, as he was a millisecond away from cold cocking another player. His arm was grabbed and disaster averted, but it was close. The Greek reported on this, only to find that the Commissioner didn't want the dirty laundry on the website and it was deleted within a day.......

Rich Stoner: Wow, what a talent during the regular season, but during crunch time (playoffs/championship games), he just lost his head and killed the couple chances he had to be a champion. Anyways, a good guy, but things just didn't work out in big games.

Mike Kranik: Played way back in the early days of the League and a postal body of the Mailman........ He had a crazy love for the game and could play. A bad heart did sideline him, even though I think he sometimes played with his bad ticker. Hope his is OK. Phil would know.

Richie Mitola: Loves the whole gang and now contributes his time doing the books. A football player by trade, his brain addled by constant shots to the head made him perfectly suited for pharma sales. A good man.

Bobby Carr: The League founder and all around degenerate, who sadly passed a year or two back. REALLY a funny guy and a good baller who loved the game and the whole gang in the League. His spawn continue to haunt the area and the hardwood. God Bless Bobby Carr.
