| It is with sadness the Lisle Astros Baseball Club passes along the death of John Johnson Sr. of Lisle who died yesterday. Johnny was a former player and coach of the Lisle team. He remained a loyal supporter of the Astros, attending many games at the Lisle park in addition to watching his three sons, John Jr., Mark and Lynk who all played for Lisle. Pre-covid, Johnny was also spotted at area parks selling his homemade wood baseball bats and enjoyed watching as many games as he could. He was also a member of the Barrie Oldtimers team. The Astros extend our sincere condolences to John Jr., Mark, Lynk and the Johnson family on their loss.

The Astros also wish to extend heartfelt condolences to Chris and Sean Hayward and their families on the passing of their mother Darlene on January 28. Darlene was a proud baseball mom and cheered on her children and grandchildren at many ball games, particularly on the Ivy bleachers.
Details: visitation, Sunday February 4, 2-4 and 7-9, service on Monday, February 5 at 1p.m. at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Worsley Street Chapel, Barrie.
