Not making excuses, but it's kind of hard to do this without seeing the guys play and even when the Greek was watching a lot, still tough to do, but I have my job.........

Maloney: Ryan took the top pick with the "Restaurant Man" Doran. Gutsy call, as allegedly NOT a baller, but an athlete with great size. Great competitive juices?? We will be finding out. Bruckmann can score/Carr can have his moments. The Spider a high IQ baller, but aging out. They have a shot.

Conover: Took another shooter with Brian W, as Phil not averse to launching himself. Size wise, these guys may have issues, as Rumph just getting back into the game after an eight year bender in Vegas. Do they have any other size?? This team will likely have some shining moments, when the threes are dropping into the bucket, but likely not sustainable............

Finnegan: Took Barr with the first pick and he apparently is tough and a scorer. Finnegan is also a very solid player. Won't lack for enthusiasm, with a svelte Navid talking people's ears off about how they will be kicking ass every single week.
I don't know, but this team will have a shot. Not much of one, but a shot.

Seuffert: Klein a top player and Seuffert also. Don't know Brendan B. Kyle, when not harrassing the criminals of West Long Branch adds some juice and the Big E adds some size/defense in the middle. Like Finnegan, these guys have a shot.

Phelan: Why not stick with a winner? This guy went all the way last year and can do it again. Brian Sharkey a nice young man, who can score and Wes adds some needed size and wing span with his ape like appendages. Good to see Palmberg still hanging around for some garbage time in the League!

Raff: Marc apparently can still play at a high level and Hosseini can also. Feddeler is 7/8 years away from when HE was a top player, but am sure can still contribute. Barnett still hanging around for some reason. Likely to stay out of the house as much as possible. Can they do it? Unlikely, but..............

The Greek's pick to GO ALL THE WAY? PHELAN!!

Always great to get your insights Alvin. I’ve probably spoken with you 30 times over the last 7 years. Even tho our conversations may not have hit home with you I appreciate your enthusiasm.

Lol Don’t sweat it Boyle! The Greek’s only thinking about pizza on draft night and he’s downright senile at this stage of the game. His penned predictions may have a what….5% accuracy rate?

I will say where was the pizza this year??? This isn’t the Greek posting under an alias name either….which he’s sadly done that before too. We’ll miss you this year Greek.

Undershirts, while I will not attend one stinking game this year, I will keep very up to date with my web of spies/informants. And I will still be around 5% accurate, but hey, I try....... Glad that you posted. Keep it up. We NEED an active League Talk to make and keep, people pissed off and amused.......

We're back for another year!! In case you can't come to the games tomorrow night here's your outcomes-

Finnegan/Seuffert- this is a tough game to predict but let's leave it to the brave and trusty Tampon. Seuffert has the one two punch at guard of himself and Klein running the show. With Kyle the cop as a solid backup....he can always run and unlike most cops he's in shape. Not to mention they have Boyle who's a tough defender....although his offense is lacking. But in this league 1 out of 2 ain't bad. This to me is a battle of guards vs big men. Can Finnegan and Navid dominate enough down low against the league veteran Brendel. Navid's looking very svelte these days so I doubt it. In the end there's too much guard play- Seuffert wins 59 to 51.

I'm already tired of this writing but I'll keep going. The next matchup's Conover vs Maloney. Maloney as mentioned took Doran with his first pick which was a surprise to most. He's a fit guy. We know he makes good coffee and crumpets for the area, but can he lead a time. He'll be battling against the warlord Rumph.... who looks to make a name for himself again. He'll die trying that's for sure. This comes down to Conover for me. Will he give the first half Conover of last year or the second half. Brian gives a consistent 16-20 points. Tampon sees a bloody fight in this one. Conover wins 64 to 60. Phil finishes with 6 threes. No pressure...Rumph neutralizes Doran enough by scaring him with his psychotic behavior.

The 3rd game I'll keep it short for your guys attention spans. Raff Vs Phelan. Will Raff cover the big man Phelan? Has Raff recovered enough from his hangover on the league's draft night? That guy was really getting after it. Team Raff DOES have the cockiest three points shooters of all time in Barnett and Cavise. Not to mention Hosseini...the ball might not ever see the paint. This teams chucking at all times. Phelan and Wes should have their way this game. Not to mention Gorenstein who's formidable big man. This will be a romp 71 to 58 team Phelan.

You're welcome everyone.

Tampon, you have been diagnosed as......... SICK. Rumph will NOT neutralize Doran. Not in this year or planet. Conover six threes? Not happening.

The Doctor has diagnosed Rumph as either Gutless or Injured. Either way, he is OUT of today's battle with Doran. Jamie Ryerson better put on a flak jacket, as he will be getting freaking PUMMELED by Doran down low. Maybe some of his teammates will step into the fray to take some massive shots from the Restaurant Man, but I doubt most will have the fortitude.........

Rumph is injured and potentially out for the season. He has a real doctor's evaluation next week and is currently listed as day-to-day.

Another night of going 3/3 for the Tampon. I’m not surprised. Phil had 8 threes!? Lendach had 27? Something crazy’s going on. Wow

Credit where credit is due Tampon. Don't think I've ever seen anyone stone cold nail a final score. Wow

I'm getting emotional from the support from you guys. Honestly. Has the Tampon surpassed the Greek with his basketball knowledge? He's so pissed about not having pizza at the draft party he can't think straight. Stay tuned for next weeks picks. I'll be drinking several bottles of Bourbon this weekend as I CAREFULLY dissect the current injury report and family problems players are having at home.

The Tampon has definitely supplanted the Greek as the seer of all League results. I was happy to go 2 for 3, but the Tampon KILLED IT!! Will have to do better next week.

I’m still in the game with my Phelan pick! Will I get lucky or will the Greek flame out with his prediction? Usually do….
