| Wolfpack (5-3-2) vs Lions (5-2-2) Lions lead season series 1-0
Some controversy in the Wolfpack room as Pudge scored and others try to claim it. Pack management states that no one gets anything in a loss so it stays with who the refs gave it to. Pudge scores 1, Pecarski scores the other. Single apples go to Baxter, Fougere, MacEachern and Strong. Props to Ballsy who earlier this season passed the 100 point plateau for his career and will receive a bronze stick at this years awards banquet. Other members of the Pack who are inline for a career achievement award this season are Pecarski who is now only 6 points from the same bronze stick and Bray who is 22 from a silver stick at the 200 point marker. Bray is off to a bit of a slow start this season compared to his normal standards, seems he might have something more pressing going on these days that is preoccupying him. Word is the Conservatives sent out a sniper to take out the competition this week, they nicked him enough for a bad give away but it looks like he will survive, pride not so much. Glazebrook led the way in regulation for the Lions by scoring all three of their goals and bringing his squad back from a 3-0 deficit to securing a point in the shoot out loss. Tracey had 2 assists and singles went to Sto, MacDonald and Munden. Quite the coincidence that the three guys with a single helper were the shoot out shooters. Munden held up his end scoring on his first three attempts in the 20 shooter shoot out. Not sure why he changed it up for his fourth shot but I guess you can’t question a guy who goes 3 for 4. MacDonald and Sto decided it would not be nice to score in their attempts so they didn’t. While on the topic of Munden, he is just 5 points away from joining Parsons at the 600 point Chromium stick level. Hartnett needs 14 more points this season to reach the Silver stick, Tracey needs 20 more for the same level and Oliver needs 5 for Bronze. I fully expect everyone listed here to reach these achievements this season if you don’t just know how much you have let your families down. As for this game, Grease is out, Camerson is recovering so who plays nets is a toss up. My guess is Cameron heals and backstops the Lions to a W.
Lions 4 – Wolfpack 2
Oilers (6-2-1) vs Flames (3-6) Oilers lead season series 1-0
Veinot led the Oilers with a goal and an assist, oh yeah, he also had 3 shoot out goals after missing on his first chance and being called out by the crowd. It definitely is a tougher end in the shoot out as the crowd can really play a part, motivation for some guys and getting under the nerves of others. For Veinot it was definitely motivating. Flemming and Gallant each scored 1 for the Oil while assists went to LeBlanc, Skinny, Turps and Webber. LaPointe also had a shoot out goal. For the Oilers Veinot and Webber sit 3 and 4 points respectively out of the 400 point Osmium stick level, I wonder which of these two offensive power houses reaches the number first. Turple is 22 points away from the Bronze stick marker, seems like a reach with just 16 games remaining but this guy is on fire this year and it seems doable. Ross scored the lone Flames goal , must have been on a bad give away as there were no assists given. Murphy got booted with 17 seconds left in the first after penalties. He was a stand up guy and ordered pizza for the room to make up for his faux pas. Good to see a guy take responsibility and pay actual cash for his actions. Currie needs just 4 more points to join the Bronze brigade at 100 career points, seems that should be easy but after watching his 3 attempts at an empty net last night with Glenn flailing around the crease, I am not sure it is in the cards. Maybe just stick to apples. Burgess need 22 to reach that same Bronze level, if he plays most of the remaining games he will make it, the only thing holding him back would be the West Warriors having Friday night games. Obviously, the schedule makers at the West are not aware of what is at stake here.
Oilers 5 - Flames 1
Jets (5-4) vs Stars (4-4-1) Jets lead season series 1-0
Parsons, Ritcey and States all scored one for the Jets in their victory over the Pack. Dukey, MacQueen, Messervey and Proctor all added an assist. The Jets are the leagues lowest scoring team but they are right there in the race for fewest allowed which balances it out. MacQueen is just 3 points away from the Silver stick and Orser is just 9 away. I would put money on MacQueen making it, Orser could be tight with just 1 point in the Jets first 9 games it seems unlikely but Peter is a strong finisher and should be able to grab the 200th this season. Well the Stars certainly came out to play this week. Haverstock jumped right back into the thick of the scoring race with 3 goals and 3 helpers. We all knew it would happen it just took a bit longer to click than expected. Timmy Ryan scored the natural hat trick to start the game off and added one more just for good measure. Billard had 4 apples more than doubling his season point total, Corkill had 1 and 2, Myrick netted two assists, Flinner sniped one and single assists went to Bright, Longo and Giles. What an offensive outburst and that was without MacIsaac playing. While Poirier may not have added any points he was the motivation behind the big win as he offered to buy the teams beer for the night win a W. Who knew the Stars could be so easily motivated with alcohol. Longo need 15 points to be the only new member of the Gold club this season, right at the point a game pace after he misses this upcoming week. Career wise that number seems out of reach but Longo has been a ppg guy the last few season so it is right there for the taking. Two years ago after his Nashville trip he fell apart for a few weeks, this year he is bringing his workout gear so he can maintain while away. Skinner and I are not. Seems like a huge year for career milestones. Murphy you will need to acquire a lot of different color tape and possibly 16 sticks for the banquet, I hope bitcoin goes up a bit for you.
Stars 4 – Jets 3
Side Notes: I am away next week, stats will be updated when I get to the hotel for the night but the next write up will be short and sweet and the standings won’t be updated until the following week.
If we get dropped in the middle of a civil war it was nice knowing you.
I might survive a civil was, Skinny and Longo are fucked.
Elon is charged with election tampering, the dude owns Twitter, I think he can tamper all he wants and there ain’t nothing they can do about it.
Kaprisov is on fire, free agent in two years. Almost time for the Toronto media to start talking about him coming to TO.
Cale Makar is the best player in the NHL, Turps is in the HRHL, prove me wrong.
Soto to the Jays would be sweet, dude only cares about money, step it up Rogers.
Add Corbin Burns and Blake Snell too and Parsons might even watch again.
Are the Chiefs good enough to three peat? They don’t seem to be playing that well but the 7-0 record stands for itself. Mahomes is moving up the list of all timers.
Raptors start 1-5, I guess that is what is expected but how do you ever get a free agent like this. Iran says they can make Nukes, Trump says he will blow them off the map, good days ahead folks.
The Mega Millions in Nashville is up to 303 Million, if I win I will buy the beer next week. Maybe the week after that.
This is the tightest the pool has ever been, 22 of the 36 players could move into first next week.
After this week we are done 2 of 5 rounds, for you math nerds that is 40 percent of the season down, time flies kids.

| Weekly 3 stars………
3. States, scored 1 won 77% of his draws and broke up plenty of plays with his great backchecking in the jets win last week. This player never complains , plays with whoever he’s asked and gives a team a 150% effort every night. A perfect team guy who helps any team win.
2. Venoit , scored a goal added an assist It’s the overtime love that gives him the weeks 2 star. 3-4 in front of the crowd dying for guys to fail . That maybe was one of the best shootouts ever in this league and venoit capped it off with the win . We don’t like to give the star every game for the oilers to Venoit but he keeps this up he’s a last week
1. Haverstock, 3 goals , 3 assists in the stars devastating win over the flames last week. The lol leagues first drafted player showed why last game with a monster performance. Also hit 3 goal posts so the totals could’ve been even higher. A huge jump in points shoves this player way up north in the scoring race. Let’s see what he can do with the elite linemates the stars can give him the rest of the way !!!

| Week 10 already
Bob, Longo and Skinner are off to the States just in time to see the aftermath of the election. I'm sure everyone is taking it really well.
The college football playoff is going to be awesome. 12 teams instead of just seeing the same 4 teams over and over again get in.
Commanders are still rolling. What an organization. Steelers in town this week though. Gonna be tough. Commanders win 24-14
Shout out to Ryan Lapointe for getting his first HRHL shootout goal. Went top shelf snipe. Was fun to watch Veinot and Desi go goal for goal.
Seven goals between Havey and Timmy last week. Talk about to polar opposite celly's though. Havey takes the " another day at the office " approach. Timmy goes with the Ovechkin style celebration. I respect both.
To the games...
LIONS vs wolfpack The short handed Lions are looking for a point in 6 straight games. I think they do it. Walshy and Sto both score from the back end. LIONS win 4-1.
Oilers vs Flames No Bob?No Skinner? no problem. Bent and Parkin lot each get 2 tucks. Oilers win 6-3
Stars vs Jets Stars stars broke out big last week. This week Corkill and Redden each get 2. Stars win 5-2

| Notes…..
- LaPointe should be buying lotto tickets, 2 square draw wins in consecutive draws.
- hats off to Findlay for filling in for Darryl Cameron when he got hurt. Putting the wet gear back on after you changed to help a hurt goalie Classy move
- as a scorer and you haven’t scored in 6 games you sure do Celly when you finally rip 1 , or 4 . Now I know how most of you dummies feel rarely scoring, it sucks.
- Bob , skinner and Longo are on a romantic guys trip to Nashville , have fun boys!!
- happy 50 th birthday to walshy, great party last Saturday
- maybe the best SO in league history with Desi and venoit trading goals and Sto and Brad Mac trading misses.
- thanks to Dan for filling in for glen tomorrow night
- are the Winnipeg jets a contender or just a great regular season team
- everyone knew Ovi will break Gretzky goal record, but can he smash it this year???
- Nashville signs Stamkos and people talk Stanley cup???? Couple goals and minus 10, yikes
- wife has started already with these fuckin hallmark Christmas movies. My god the plots never change, all the same Thank god for other tv in bedroom.
- trump is back for four years. We need Trudeau gone Trump says he’ll end all wars . He may win the Nobel peace prize
- voted today and there’s not even names on the ballot . Wtf??? Just the party but they say you can write a name on the top if you want. Seems weird

| Pack/Lions……. This one would be clearly a close game as these teams are fighting for first. The pack have their squad there and the lions don’t so im going pack 3-1. Ballsy , bray and Ingraham score the goals and Logan shuts thr door in the win.
Flames/oilers……… oilers are missing a couple plugs tonight so that means more venoit and turple. They won 5-3 over the flames here. Aforementioned venoit scores a pair, bent with one and Leblanc and turple round out the attack here.
Stars /jets……. Jets dominated the stars last meeting but this time after watching plenty of film the stars adjust. Stars win 7-4 here. Havey with a pair, bright , Corkill, Perry , red hot Flinn and even Poirier score in this one. Glenn’s out getting scored on by Rick vaive so we’ll have a special guest goalie tonight Dan the man
