I just can't understand what is up in sibbitts head. A bad coach last year would have won about 10 games with that team, they won 4, whats that say. This year it's the same old, same old. We don't have great shooters, and we still don't play as a team.Joe has no clue of what he has. he has a team that could win 15 or 16 games this year, but now we will be lucky to win 8.He is sitting on the talents of Weikert and Hutslar, I guess they are to tall for joes plans. He plays Weikert at forward all last year, now as a Junior he is made the backup center, from what I heard last year he was the leading rebounder on the team. Now he sits the bench. He's not alone on the bench Hutslar sits there with him, I have seen Hutslar play many times. He's a better ballplyer than he is being given a chance. we are 4-8 now and it seems that joe is going with his all senior team, sound familar. he did this several times last year, way to go joe, that's building for the future. Until thay got to the varsity level both the Junior class and the Senior class have been winners, how can you be a winner all the way up, and then be that crappy in varsity. One answer,"Coaching" the talent is there he just has no clue what to do with it. We have yet to beat anyone this year worth anything, and although I have to say the forest park game was a little bit better than the norm, I didn't think forest park was that good ,just tall,. The best thing joe could do is swallow his pride and make some changes. Here would be my first change, the lineup.
G Hentrup 5'11" Good Shooter,playmaker
G Andry 6'00" Best passer on the team
F Hutslar 6'04" Playmaker
F Weikert 6'05" rebounder, shot blocker
C Emerick 6'07" big and strong
This could be a great lineup, but i doubt that we will ever see it.how could teams in this area match up. One last thing if joe would look back to his high school days. joe, and scott where a great big part of the wins, he needs to remember they also had a forward 6'05" in gabe king, and a 6'03 f/c in kelly tuell they wouldn't have won the hall of fame tourney without them. Joe wake up and use this team, we miss

Well...in muy opinion the problem is on the offensive side is that our offense isn't well complexed enough to confuse people as in we run a triangle based offense but it's one of the weaker looking triangles....on the other side of things our defense was in your face man to sagging man back to an intermediate/in your face man....see the problem we also have tried a 2-3 zone which a team with good perimeter shooters it will kill you.....I;ve always thought Garrett should've started all this year and been 6th man about halfway on last year he gives match up problems....I don't like starting Weikert and Emerick...(if i was a coach)....because you are eating up fouls on big guys....and by the way they are picking up fouls it could be a problem....and a thing i've noticed two is when we play teams in a zone we don't try and collapse their defense with dribble ion and kick out don't know what that's about?.....Forest park was/is a typical Forest Park team big kids that hardly do stuff Forest Park to my knowledge every since we've played them from 97-98 on has done the same thing year in and year out....one final thing...when teams go man to man on us it seems like Kreigh struggles and why does he struggle?....in my opinion....he does cretae screens/picks or anything for him and it tires him at the end of the game.

Forgot to mention that A great Coach is a Coach who can take no Talent and Make them Superstars a halfass coach is a coach who can take a team a superstars and let them be superstars....they saying wasn't a bad comment-to Joe it was just a response to the original post

Well Until Next Time.

I agree that our main problem is on the offensive end of the court. Our offense is to laid back it's not in your face offense,I would of loved to have played D on Paoli. I would never get to tired to play on the offensive end. The triangle offense would work with this team, if the guards would drive and look to dish off, but they want to take it all the way to the hole, works sometimes.
I myself would like to go to the taller lineup to create some matchup problems for the other teams. But we are never going to get any better until the players start playing TEAM ball, at least zeb and chris would look for each other in the post, I think they could do a number on people. Hutslar has been looked over by this coaching staff, along with most of the Junior team, They do play team ball, and they will foul alot but at least ther is no easy shots. I think a good offense for this team would be the Flex offense, you can run it high or low and it creates spacing and penitration. I would love to see Joe do great at Paoli, but he is going to have to coach the team he has not try to put in an offense just becouse he likes it.
