The Bandit win streak stays alive.....sort of! A see saw battle between the Giants and Bandits at So. Pas ended in a 12 - 12 tie after 9 innings. The Giants jumped to a 3 - 0 lead, helped by a George Rannie HR over the left center fence started the 2nd inning. The game stayed close at after 5, and the Bandits held a slim 4 -3 lead. Scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 6th, the Bandits took a 9 - 6 lead only to see the Giants chip away with 2 in the 8th and then 4 in the top of the 9th to go out ahead. Luis Meza had a clutch double to knock in two and give the Giants the laad and Steve Fernandez followed with another double to put the Giants up by 3 with a half inning to go. The Bandits evened it in the bottom of the 9th with lead off hits by Jon Scheureman and Garrett Worchel who were brought in by clutch hits from Steve Daerr and Bob Sherwin. Giant pitcher Chris Gauthier was able to get Octavio Martinez to fly out and end the game leaving the teams with a tie.
Gauther had 4 hits on the day for the Giants while Marshal Landry and Fernandez had two apiece.
For the Bandits, Mike Guise and Worchell had 3 hits each with Guise banging out a double and a triple. Mark Gorman and Martinez each had two hits while Martinez knocked a two run homer in the 6th.
So without a loss, the Bandit win streak stays at 7 and the Giants don't lose ground on 4th place.
