Bandits Win on Father's Day
What better way to celebrate Father's Day than with a game at well manicured Birmingham High. The Bandits banged out 22 hits on their way to a win and to maintain the 2nd place slot. All kids had free admission and the aging Bandits had plenty to cheer them on. Clint, Tiffany and Courtaney Scheuerman watched their Dad go 5 innings on the mound and pick up the win. Jack Worchell saw Pops have a perfect day at the plate with two hits and two walks while Matt & Debbie Gorman were witness to their ol' man getting two hits on the day. Smanantha Guise was proud as usual as Poppa had two hits including a double to start a 7 run rally in the 3rd. The Barnhart clan of Grant, Greg, Pam and grandkids Peyton, Baylie and Rylie cheered on Mr. B as he banged out two hits including a double. Ryan Smith, Lucas Hubert, Luis and Peanut Martinez, Valerie and Jaz Rojas,Alex and Jake Gould; and Garrett and Lindsey Faulkes each saw their Dad get at least one hit on the day. Erin Wells was shocked as her Dad went into offensive mode with two solid hits. Anthony DiPietro picked up the save on the mound while also getting two hits even though we can't track down his love child in Saigon. And finally, Rob and Tara Sherwin and grandson Reed Alexander threw their hats in the air as the coach reached base 3x with a single and two walks. A great day for the Bandits and free bobble heads of all fathers to children in attendance.
