Brewers Wrap Up Division With 18 - 1 Win Over Stallions
4 Stallions errors!? boy we wish. Good rule of thumb, if your team would've normally made the plays that the Stallions blew, they're errors. I hope this wasn't lets take advantage of a team with only 7 of their players + 2 pools so there's no one on the bench to keep score, because we have memories. Well lets see, the 2nd inning (an error plagued inning) started with a routine grounder going between the shortstop's legs (an outfielder who's never played infield). He later bobbled a grounder, and another he fielded cleanly but threw it way over the 1st baseman. Then when Ron took over at short he did a pretty good job, but he bobbled one (hit him in the cup)also, for an error. In the last inning with Tom playing short, he scooped one right up but his throw pulled the 1st baseman just off the bag (that's 5 errors by the shortstops alone). The 1st baseman, also an outfielder playing infield for the first time (with a knee injury using a baserunner) only booted one grounder out of 3 or 4, but failed to catch 3 thrown balls including a pick off from the pitcher with the runner hung out to dry (now we're up to 9 errors). The 3rd baseman failed to catch a put out throw right at the ground. The center fielder standing and waiting for a high fly which landed just behind him. Oh and remember the right fielder taking off and running to his right fast as he can but after about ten steps realized he should've taken about 5 easy steps to his right because the ball is there. Remember, the player doesn't have to touch it for it to be an error. That's 12 errors now just off the top of my head, and there was more, all plays that any team in our division would've normally made. I'm not one to complain, but I needed your input to patch together my team's pitching stats for the night, but you're just too far off to help me out there.
