Erin Giles gave up two singles to the first two batters, then shut down the McAuley Lions (4-6) collecting 9 strikeouts on the night in 6 innings. Dominique Burnham came in the top of the 7th and went 3 up 3 down with two strikeouts of her own.
Patience at the plate for the Red Storm (11-0) abound, collecting 6 walks, two hit by pitch, timely hitting and capitalizing on a few miscues by the visiting Lions on Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
Alyssa Williamson reached base in all four plate appearances with two walks, a 2 run double and a 3 run home run in the 5th.
