Pitching, pitching, pitching! The Sidewinders starter Kaz Arakawa hurls 6 innings of 2-hit ball, but was matched by Cardinals starter Arnie Costell who only allow one hit in 5 innings. The Sidewinders scored the only run of the game in the 7th as Dave Becker singled, took 2nd on an errant pickoff throw, and scored on a 2-out duck snort by Jamil Mamdani. Sidewinder relief pitcher Rich Fallat threw the last 3 innings to pick up the victory in this fast, well played game.
