Huge 9th inning rally for the Angels
What a CRAZY game!
For the first 8 innings, the Angels were unable to get anything going against Blackjackets pitcher Grady McConnell. He went 8 stellar innings, allowing only 1 unearned run.
Then, in the 9th, the wheels came off for the Blackjackets. The Angels plated 7 runs on 4 walks and 3 hits, including a game tying 2 run blast by newcomer Jon Vitti, playing in his first game of the season.
The Angels added 4 more in the 10th, and held on to win 12-8 in a game that I'm sure will be remembered for quite a while by all who participated.
