Storm top Brewers
The Storm finally defeat the Brewers after suffering two tight game losses and a tie, 15-5. Scott Bailey pitched 6+ strong innings for the Storm, and Pat Armstrong threw well the rest of the way when Bailey had to leave the game after reaching his limit of hit batters. At the plate for the Storm, Armstrong, Albert Ojeda, Chance Brown, Mike Ivy, and Jon Ross had 3 hits apiece - including 2 triples by Ross and a grand slam by Armstrong.
Additional note from Brewers: Although this didn't change the drubbing we suffered, we did score an additional run (the 6th run was made official hours after the game. Here's the situation - runners on 1st and 3rd, one out. Cain hits a sac fly, runner easily scores from 3rd, but the runner on first did not initiially realize that it was only two outs and was thrown out heading back to first. The runner from 3rd had scored long before this 3rd out. However, it was at first ruled that the runner tagging does not score on the double play. After much discussion and research long after everyone had gone home, the run was granted. A small consolation, but the right call.
