Bandits Streak Continues
After hitting the skids in mid season, the Bandits picked up their third straight victory by beating the always tough Brookside Dodgers. Jeff Wells got the win by going 5 innings and while giving up 10 hits along the way, he managed to get out of tough jams in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings. Jeff Gould relieved and threw 4 scoreless innings and only surrendered one hit along the way. Good defense,especially by Darren Hubert at 3B again helped the Bandits to a win. Gould continued his hot hitting by getting two singles and a double while Mike Rojas had a single and triple. Ageless Mark Gorman had a bases loaded triple in the 5th which helped break open the game. Anthony DiPietro, Garrett Worchell, Darren Hubert and Jack Charles all chipped in two hits apiece. Rick Robb took the loss for the Dodgers giving up all 12 runs while Benny Sepulveda threw three scoreless innings in relief.
