The battle was fierce, and what a finish!
Big finish indeed, as the tying run sprinted around 3rd with the ball at the corner of the back-stop and Stallions catcher Tom Bennett with no idea where it is! But with help from a miriad of yelling voices he got to the ball and flipped a quick strike to the plate for the out on a close play. Both teams came out bucking and kicking with their backs against the wall, desperate for a win. The game played out as an evenly matched race start to finish, as the lead changed hands 6 times. The Grays stepped it up a couple knotches this week and did well against two tricky hard throwing horses. However, the high scoring rallies stopped after 4 innings tied at "11". Stallions Martin Campbell put the clamps down and blanked em the last 3 innings, while clutch hitter Sean Lang knocked in the game winner in the 6th. So the Stallions are celabrating hanging on to 4th place and slip into the play-offs!
