Short Handed Beat Up Quakes Steal One Late

The Quakes came in short handed missing a lot of pitching but managed to steal one late against the Royals. Brian "Bama" Calderon struggled early but found his stuff. Robert Merrill, despite having some control problems as well settled in for two scoreless innings and getting his first win as a Quake. Defense wasn't exactly at a premium but clutch hits from Dirk Detrou and some late breaks helped seal it for the Quakes.
