Dirt Dogs take the Middletown tourney for 2nd year in a row
The Dirt Dogs went back to back championships taken the Middletown tournament for the second year in a row, downing Spectrum Softball 22-20. The Dogs trailed 18-11 going into the 7th innings when the offense took off for 11 runs to earn the victory. Dan "CRUSHER" Mazzaccaro hit a huge 3 run homer in the first inning. Danny Porter hit a pair of home runs including a clutch 3 run homer in the 7th innning. Stef Destefano went 5-5 while Kyle Jones went 4-5 and Kris Hewitt also went 4-5. The win improved the Dirt Dogs to 15-2 on the season.
