Ryders downs the Dogs in game 1 of MASA playoffs The Davidson Co. Dirt Dogs fell to the 3 time defending champion Ryders softball team 20-19 on Monday night. The Dogs rallied for 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th coming up just short of a great comeback. John Wilson went 4-5 with 5 rbi including a grand slam. Kris Hewitt also collected 4 hits out of the lead off spot. Stef Destefano chipped in 4 hits of his own. Game 2 is Wednesday night a Ben Nessing 2.
