Brewers Hold Off Much-Improved Black Sparrows, 6-2
After a long layoff, the Brewers and Black Sparrows featured a strong pitching match, with the Brewers coming out ahead, 6-2. Brewers pitchers, Joe Pita and Scott Bailey held the Black Sparrows to two unearned runs and six hits. The Black Sparrows got solid mound performances from Dylan Gaines, Tim Woodward and Brandon Bell. The Brewers offense was lead by Raul Verdecia, Dave Dawson and Efrain Medrano, who each contributed a pair of hits. Woodward had two hits for the Black Sparrows.
