Mudcats prevail in a pitching duel.
The Mudcats four pitchers (Dave White, Mike Cahill, Rich Fallat & Roberto Torres) allowed only 1 run and 1 hit to prevail over the brilliant complete game performance by the Bulldogs Shawn Rogers. The Bulldogs also played well in the field, making all the plays, and making at least three very fine plays.
The Bulldogs scored their only run in the 4th as Lyle Riley's sacrifice fly plated Rogers (on base with a single) from 3rd. For the Mudcats, they scored two runs in the 6th as Mike Cahill singled, Brian King followed with a bunt single, and then Bob Affrunti sacrificed both runners up. Jon Ross singled in the tying run, and a ground ball plated the second and final run. A good game played by both teams to ring in the winter season.
