Yanks come back to serve Tibs first Loss of the season
Yanks go in the hole 3-0 after 3 innings by giving up 4 errors and a hit batter. With the score still 3-0 in the top of 6th, Raul Rodriguez and Mike Velez get back to back hits for clean up hitter Jesse Garcia big center field bomb over dead center to tie the game.
Top 7th, 2 on and 2 strikes against Jack Bitton who pokes a hit to centerfield for what turns out to be the go ahead and winning run.
Big props out to newcomer Jerry Whitaker who shuts the Tibs down for 7 innings and giving up only 1 earned run in his Yankee debut.
Josue Iniguez strikes out 5 of the last 6 Tib hitters for the save.
