Mudcats win with 6-run 7th & great relief by King and Torres
The Indians get off to an early 3-0 lead as Steve Soto drives in 2 in the 1st, and Greg Castellanos drives in another. The tribe add another in the 4th as Will DeJesus doubles in a run. It was a long day at the plate through 6 innings for the Mudcats, as Indians starter Javi Estrada was tossing a no-hitter. But, with real good relief work by Brian King (3 IP / 6 K), and Roberto Torres (4 IP / 0 runs) keeping the games within reach, the 'cats finally break through in the 7th. Dave White starts it off with a bloop double, which is followed by a long fly double by Blake Walker. After an out, Jamil Mamdani singled in the 2nd run and Bob Affrunti worked a walk. The Indians go to the pen with a new arm and Yeyo Uraga takes one for the team to load the bases. Marcos Perez followed with a sharp single to make it 4-3. After the 2nd out, Casey Matthews comes up big with a 2-run double to put the 'cats ahead, and then Torres follows with another single to cap off the big inning. For the Indians, Lupe Castanon had a perfect day (2 for 2 with 2 walks), and Castellanos had a pair of hits.
