Brewers Over Sharks, 15-2
The Brewers' bats were alive throughout the lineup, led by Mark Behn's four hits, Raul Verdecia's and Jim Fier's three hits, and two hits from five others. The pitching was also solid, with Greg Bertrand, Joe Pita, and Bill Minnis limiting a tough Sharks lineup to two runs. But the highlight for the Brewers was its errorless defense, featuring a sparkling play on a grounder, which ricocheted off shortstop Augie Alonso's glove to third baseman Bertrand, whose heads-up backup and perfect throw to first nailed the Sharks' runner.
