Tigers stave off furious Bandit rally
With both teams having secured playoff berths, the Tigers and Bandits played a little too loose for their own good. Several Bandit miscues led to a 9-0 Cat lead after the first frame which increased to 12-1 after 4.
The Tigers then decided that since they had a big lead and it was a nice sunny day it would be the perfect time for an afternoon catnap.
The Bandits quickly took advantage and jumped back in the game with 4 in the 5th and one in the 6th.
When they awakened for the final 8th frame, the Tigers treated the horsehide like they were trying to juggle a live fish, with only the quick hands of Chris Bishop on a hard chopper back to the mound with the tying run on third and go-ahead on first saving the win for the Tigers.
Sean Donnellan went long for the third time this year with another towering blast to right, the only question being if it would stay fair long enough.
Both the Tigers and Bandits hope they've kicked all the E's out of their systems before the playoffs and the Cats wish the Bandits well in the postseason.
