Mudcats squeak by the tough Cubs!
Mudcats starter Rich Fallat allowed tons of baserunners (7 hits / 8 walks) in his 7 1/3 innings, but only allowed 3 unearned runs. In the 8th with two runners on, the Mudcats bring in ace Roberto Torres to get the last 5 out to secure the victory. With the bats, newcomer Casey Rihn had 3 hits, Nick Haley had 3 hits, and Michael Green had a key triple and scored 2 runs. For the Cubs, starter James Blakeman was sharp as well. Going a strong 8 inning. Kesh Hayashi had a pair of hits for the Cubs.
