Good pitching and fielding lead 'winders to victory.
Both starters, Kaz Arakawa for the Sidewinders and Dan Horne for the Knights were on their games, as both put up zeroes thru 5 innings. Kaz pitched another inning of shutout ball, but with 2-outs in the bottom of the 6th the Sidewinders got their only scores as Steve Rombro, Michael Rosenblum, Rich Fallat and Bob Affrunti drove home runs. Dave Becker and Fallat finished up the final 3 innings to preserve the victory. With the gloves, LF Don McClain made 2 fine plays, 3B Rosenblum made a couple of gems, and C Steve Rombro threw out 2 Knights trying to steal bases. For the Knights, besides pitching very well, Dan Horne had a pair of hits.
