Angels Break "20" for Third Straight Game
It didn't look good for the Angels at 7:30am when they learned their starter for the game was out with an injury, leaving them with only 9 players. It didn't affect their game though, as the Angels were relentless from the first pitch, scoring 5 in the first, 2 in the second and 2 in the third to open up a 9-0 lead. The Snugs got 2 back in the top of the 4th which the Angels answered with 6 of their own to put it away. Jess Whitehill made the start and went 6, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits fighting the headwinds. The Angels collected 32 hits with each batter getting at least 2. The onslaught was led by Charles Blakey (5-6, 4 runs, double, triple, 3rbi) and Dwayne Collins (5-6, double, 2 runs, rbi. Four hits each by Pelter (4-5, 3 runs, rbi) Wil Salazar (4-4, 3 runs, triple, rbi) and Tim Hopkins (4-7, 2 runs, double, 2 rbi). This week it takes 3 hits for an honorable mention, going to Tipton (3-5, HR, 2 rbi), Castro (3-5,3 rbi) and 2 hits leaves you mired in anonymity! Great to see Seth Craig back on the diamond.
