Big Inning Carries 45s
With the Lightning up by two heading into the seventh, their pitching was unable to throw strikes, enabling the 45s to score nine times and cruise to victory. The Lightning out hit the Colts and had a plethora of extra base hits, but also ran themselves out of several innings.
Bill Brown was the man on the mound for 45s, notching the win and giving up only one run from the unyielding Lightning offense, in three innings.
Scott Brown led the way for the Colts, with a couple singles and walks.
The 45s were very fortunate today. The Lightning are always a tough win, especially minus the 45s super DH, Jon Macks, who is currently on tour with funnyman Louie Anderson. Jon is the head writer and choreographer for Louie's successful "Bi and Large" stage show.
