Pirates ambush Reds w/ 6 in the bottom of the 8th for the W
Reds pitcher Tony Covarrubias allowed only 4 hits to the Pirates through 7 before the Pirate bats came alive thanks to a Sergio Rodriguez bases loaded, bases clearing double in the bottom of the 8th that also featured RBI hits from Jeff Hoff and Ken Rise. Rich Brito pitched his best game of the season fanning 9 Reds hitters in the complete game win with 0 walks and also had two hits at the plate along with Ken Rise.
