Scarborough gets 6 strikeouts from Alyssa Williamson, win 4-0 over Cheverus
Alyssa Williamson hopes every outing could go as well as Wednesday, as Alyssa threw a shutout to carry Scarborough to a 4-0 victory over Cheverus at Portland in seven innings.

Scarborough's Alyssa kept Cheverus off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up six.


Sophia Burnham had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. She doubled in the second and fourth innings and singled in the seventh inning.


Bell was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Scarborough scored one run on an RBI double by Abbie Murrell.
