SCARBOROUGH 6, NOBLE 5: Brenna Kent drove home the tying run in the fifth inning and the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the top-ranked Red Storm (17-0) slipped past eighth-seeded Noble (12-6) in a Western Class A quarterfinal at Scarborough.
Alyssa Williamson reached on an error to start the seventh. Pinch-runner Hannah Ricker then went to third on Megan Murrell's single before easily scoring on Kent's fly to right.
The Knights, behind Melodie Bailey's two-run homer and Amber Kelly's two-run single, built a 5-0 lead, but Scarborough scored twice in the fourth before tying the game with a three-run fifth.
Kent's single to center drove in Brittany Plowman and Williamson to tie it.
