Scarborough cruises past Bonny Eagle, 8-2
Bonny Eagle didn't have a chance on Saturday, as Scarborough won in blowout fashion, 8-2 in seven innings at Scarborough.
Scarborough scored four runs in the fourth on Scarborough scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Brittany Plowman, a single by Alyssa Williamson, and a two-run home run by Megan Murrell.
Megan racked up two RBIs on two hits for Scarborough.
Alyssa got the win for Scarborough. She allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings. Alyssa struck out three, walked four and gave up three hits.
Allie Pike couldn't get it done in the circle for Bonny Eagle, taking a loss. She allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
Scarborough closer Lilly Volk put away the final seven outs to record the save.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as Scarborough scored one run on an RBI double by Brenna Kent.
It didn't take long for Scarborough to respond as it scored three runs of its own in the fifth. Scarborough scored on an RBI single by Ashley Gleason, , and an RBI double by Alyssa.
