Jack Sanchez pitched a masterful 8 inning gem, holding the Titans to 3 hits and 1 run. Jr. Esparza led the Stallions offense with 3 hits including a bases-loaded double in the 8th and 4 RBIs on the day. David Chambers and Mike McCann also had multi-hit games in a game that started with the Stallions roaring out the gate to score 5 runs in an inning and two-thirds off Jon Sheuerman. Mario Pena, last year's Cy Young Award winner for the Titans, restored order, retiring the next 7 in a row before Frank "One Knee" Picha drove a double to the gap. The Stallions only managed another pair of hits off the ace, before Hanner, Hellman and Chambers loaded the bases on singles in the 8th. Junior lowered the boom with a double to the gap, clearing the bases and giving the Stallions an 8-1 lead going into the 9th. Benavides double, a walk and Pena's base hit plated a second run for the Titans, but when Dan Little struck out, it was all over.
