The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity jumped out to an early lead on South Portland HS and captured a 26-0 victory on Friday at South Portland.
Fourteen runs in the first three innings allowed the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity to put the game away early.
A wild pitch and an RBI single by Abbie Murrell in the first inning and an error, an RBI double by Ashley Gleason, an error, and a two-run triple by Kaleigh Scoville during the second inning helped the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity put some runs on the board early.
Laura Powell racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. She tripled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Lilly Volk racked up six strikeouts in the the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity win. The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity's pitcher tossed four innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.
