Storm Hot Bats Down Gorham in Cold

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Gorham HS and captured a 9-2 victory on Monday at Scarborough.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI triple by Sophia Burnham and an RBI single by Kaleigh Scoville in the first inning and an RBI single by Chloe Griffin during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity.
The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity were led by a flawless day at the dish by Brittany Plowman, who went 4-4 against Gorham HS' pitching. She singled in the first, third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Burnham got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over five innings. She struck out three, walked three and surrendered three hits.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity built upon their lead with three runs in the third. The inning looked promising, as Lilly Volk tripled, bringing home Scoville and Laura Powell to kick things off.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the sixth. In the fourth, the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity scored on an RBI single by Plowman, bringing home Hannah Ricker.
