McAuley outdone by Abbie Murrell and the Red Storm 5-1

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity beat McAuley HS 5-1 in seven innings on Friday at Scarborough behind Abbie Murrell, who had two extra base hits.

She singled in the second inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and tripled in the seventh inning.
McAuley HS couldn't get anything going so long as Lilly Volk was on the hill. McAuley HS managed just one hit off of Volk, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during her seven innings of work.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity were sparked by Ashley Gleason and Murrell, who teamed up for six hits and two RBIs.

Chase couldn't get it done in the circle for McAuley HS, taking a loss. She lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the fourth inning when they scored on.

In the sixth inning, McAuley HS pushed across its only run of the day on a groundout by Whaley.
