Scarborough 3rd-inning Burst Enough to Top Cheverus, 13-0

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity beat Cheverus HS 13-0 in five innings on Wednesday at Scarborough after an eight-run explosion in the third inning.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity scored in the third on an RBI single by Chloe Gorey, an RBI single by Maggie Murphy, an RBI single by Sophia Burnham, a groundout by Kaleigh Scoville, an RBI single by Brittany Plowman, a two-run double by Chloe Griffin, and an RBI single by Chloe Gorey.

Chloe Gorey went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity.

Chloe Griffin brought the heat against Cheverus HS during her outing. Cheverus HS managed just three hits off of the the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during her four innings of work.

Sydney Levesque couldn't get it done on the rubber for Cheverus HS, taking a loss. She allowed 13 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity never trailed after scoring five runs in the second on an error and two singles.
