Scarborough Thunders Past Westbrook 13 - 0

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Westbrook HS and captured a 13-0 victory on Thursday at Scarborough.

The game was decided quickly as the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

A home run by Kaleigh Scoville in the first inning and a groundout by Maggie Murphy during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity.
Scoville racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity's Chloe Griffin kept Westbrook HS off the scoreboard for all five innings she was in the circle. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up one.

Lebeau was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity got four-run rallies in the third inning and the fourth. In the third, the Scarborough Redstorm Varsity scored on a two-run single by Chloe Griffin, plating Abbie Murrell and Brittany Plowman.

The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Murrell kicked things off with a double, scoring Ashley Gleason and Sophia Burnham.
